Gemma is EnergyNet’s Public Sector Engagement Manager. She has the small task of being responsible for looking after the public sector speakers signed up to participate in the Africa Energy Forum. Gemma grew up in Hong Kong and Singapore before moving ‘home’ to the UK to study at Keele University for her Bachelor’s degree in Business and then to London for her Master’s degree in Development Studies where she completed a gender-centric thesis on the socio-economic impact of the tsunami on women in Sri Lanka.

Before joining EnergyNet in 2019 Gemma spent several years working in banking and financial planning criss-crossed with working at charities in London and Cambodia. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her family exploring Hampshire, and getting away to the sunshine as much as possible.
